Louisiana Trombone Collective

Dr. Benjamin Yates (Associate Professor of Trombone at ULL) has officially launched the Louisiana Trombone Collective! This is a non profit organization promoting diversity, inclusion and success in low brass players.


Mission Statement:

The Louisiana Trombone Collective is dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and success within the low brass community of South Louisiana, the United States, and abroad. The LTC mission is to:

  • Create a supportive and empowering environment for trombonists of all backgrounds

  • Foster collaboration and mentorship 

  • Celebrate Louisiana’s musical heritage 

  • Provide educational programs, community engagement, and performance opportunities

LTC aims to inspire and elevate the voices of diverse trombonists, ensuring social change through positive experiences with music and art.
