Dr. Benjamin Yates (Associate Professor of Trombone at ULL) has officially launched the Louisiana Trombone Collective! This is a non profit organization promoting diversity, inclusion and success in low brass players.
Mission Statement:
The Louisiana Trombone Collective is dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and success within the low brass community of South Louisiana, the United States, and abroad. The LTC mission is to:
Create a supportive and empowering environment for trombonists of all backgrounds
Foster collaboration and mentorship
Celebrate Louisiana’s musical heritage
Provide educational programs, community engagement, and performance opportunities
LTC aims to inspire and elevate the voices of diverse trombonists, ensuring social change through positive experiences with music and art.
